Our client, a versatile, agile, innovative and rapidly growing Engineering and Construction firm, have engaged us to find them a Principal Mechanical Engineer. The company are part of a large group of companies National and International Mining operations, covering all areas of Mining Operations and Development. Whilst being a group with massive growth, it still has a family feel where everybody knows each others names. With rapid growth, a very healthy pipeline of projects through a stable client base which is rapidly growing, the company need a professional who is capable of balancing technical expertise and the intricacies of project development and delivery, with strong leadership and management skills and stakeholder management. Leading Mechanical Engineering projects from study and concept to detailed design, onto project delivery, bespoke contracting and fit for purpose solutions, product design and fabrication, the right person will be an innovative, agile thinker who can think outside the box. If you are a Mechanical or Process Engineer looking for a move away from your current Principal role where you will be offered realistic growth, or are in a Lead role and are looking to take the next step in a supportive environment which will offer you the coaching and development to fully grow into the role I am interested in discussing this role with you. You will need : To be a Chartered Engineer, To have 15 years’ experience in Engineering, Equipment, Piping, Process or Mining related design, Experience utilising Engineering software, computer modelling and simulation tools to enhance performance and efficiencies, Experience performing mechanical calculations, simulations, analysis, checks and reviews, to ensure optimal design and verification against relevant codes and standards, Experience seeing through projects and an understanding of the importance of solutions fit to the end user, A strong and proven ability to lead, mentor, coach and manage teams, To foster and continue building a high-performing Engineering culture, To take complex ideas and distil them into sensible, efficient, effective and safe outcomes, To build and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication, To collaborate with multidisciplinary teams ensuring seamless project integration, To manage scheduling of resources to meet project timelines, budgets and deliverables.
