As an Accounts Administrator /Payroll Officer, you'll play an essential role in ensuring smooth financial operations About the Role: As an Accounts Administrator / Payroll Officer , you’ll play an essential role in ensuring smooth financial operations within our client's company. The majority of your responsibilities will focus on payroll processing , but you'll also handle a range of other accounting and administrative tasks. You’ll work closely with a supportive, down-to-earth team and contribute to the ongoing success of the business. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration : Process accurate payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with EBA pay rates and relevant awards. Accounts Payable : Manage and process incoming invoices and payments. Invoicing : Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing. Claims Management : Handle claims as required, ensuring that all relevant documentation is in order. Purchasing Supplies : Oversee the purchasing of office and operational supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness. Confidentiality : Handle highly confidential financial information with the utmost discretion and professionalism. Communication : Manage phone calls, take messages, and communicate effectively with staff, clients, and suppliers. Employment Letters : Create and issue letters of employment for new hires and other related requests. General Administration : Support the finance team with any other administrative tasks as needed. Key Attributes & Qualifications: Experience : Prior experience in an administrative, payroll, or accounts role is highly desirable. Attention to Detail : You must have a strong focus on accuracy and an ability to spot discrepancies quickly. Confidentiality : You will be trusted with sensitive information, so a high level of integrity and discretion is essential. Numerical Confidence : Comfort working with numbers and financial data is a must. Calm and Structured Nature : Ability to handle multiple tasks calmly and efficiently, even under pressure. Problem-Solving Skills : A quick thinker who can address issues as they arise. Willing to Learn : An enthusiasm for developing new skills and improving existing processes.
