Specialising in Steel material distribution both locally and interstate. For you: Day and Afternoon shift available Monday to Friday roles Working as Permanent Casual directly for the client Day shift $36 p/hr Afternoon shift $41 p/hr Erskine Park Location Shift times: Monday to Friday Day shift 5am – 1pm Afternoon shift 1pm – 9pm The Role: Steel Machine Operator In this role you will work across two main Machine lines: Shear line Operating machinery to size and cut steel products Slit line Operate machinery to roll coils of steel products Your main duties will involve: Machine Operation Both computerised and manual Loading steel product into the machinery for processing / roll forming Setting size and length for cutting to customer requirements Manually adjusting machinery, weights and rotating machine loading equipment End of line duties such as palletising and strapping of final products Manual lifting of products up to 15 kgs General manufacturing machine cleaning duties General housekeeping duties The Candidates: Coming from the Steel manufacturing industry is key. This could be from steel itself, fencing material production or Building product manufacturing facilities. To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following: 2 years Steel machine operating experience Experience operating roll forming and steel cutting machinery Pallet jack operating experience Pallet wrapping and strapping experience Experience labelling final pallets of product and matching paperwork to customer orders Have a mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine trouble shooting Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team Excellent WHS Knowledge Previous experience in a fast-paced environment Advantageous: Having a valid LF forklift licenses Having and MR / HR truck license These roles have an immediate start available If this position sounds like you then hit APPLY now, alternatively email Mike Hadley on mhadleyfuserecruitment.com with your resume.
