About the Role The OT Engineer will provide Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Operational Technology (OT) support at all levels of the business, from development projects through construction and into operations. This role will provide technical expertise for the design, commissioning, and operation of assets, ensuring that new projects integrate with existing SCADA and business systems. The OT Engineer will also support the OT team with operational support works such as minor projects and managing O&M contractor interfaces. This role will interface with other teams within Iberdrola Australia, other technical specialists in Iberdrola, and manage contractors in the SCADA and OT areas. Key Responsibilities Provide SCADA technical expertise for development and construction projects, from design through to construction and the connections process. Technical management of SCADA/OT project deliverables to ensure projects are technically sound, meet internal specification requirements, and comply with all regulatory requirements. Coordinate with network service providers and the Australian Energy Market Operator to gain approval on SCADA deliverables and testing requirements. Conduct acceptance testing and commissioning activities to ensure that systems meet specified requirements. Integrate new projects with existing SCADA and business systems. Manage outstanding SCADA/OT punch list items from construction projects. Perform minor changes, troubleshooting, and support for SCADA and OT operational systems. About You · Bachelor’s degree in engineering. · 2 years of relevant SCADA experience. · Understanding of industrial communication protocols. · Working knowledge and familiarity in identifying, understanding, and mitigating security risks in Industrial Control Systems and OT environments. · Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements for the energy sector, including the National Electricity Rules. · Ability to effectively communicate across all levels within the organisation regarding complex technical and commercial issues. · Experience in OT, including active directory, group policies, Windows administration, networks, industrial communication protocols, backup and recovery, system monitoring, and cybersecurity. · Experience in SCADA, including knowledge of ICS components, integration between different devices, SCADA software, historian systems, and alarm management.
