This fast-paced and varied role will see you delivering high quality and timely administration support to meet the day-to-day requirements of the school. This position is term time, permanent completing 15 hours per week (3 days per week, 5 hours per day) during term time . This position will commence from 13 January 2025 and will conclude 12 December 2025. Key Accountabilities The School Officer - Administration duties include: Support the delivery of operational tasks associated with reception and administration including: Provide support to student reception Mail management and distribution Responding to incoming telephone and email enquiries Dealing professionally with and directing enquiries of parents, visitors and contractors Data entry to support registers and record management Provide administration support that meets the day to day requirements of the school including: Co-ordinate dissemination of information to staff and students Production of documents – letters, registers, spreadsheets Assist in the production of internal and external documents Sort, prepare and file documents as required Assist with banking and receipting of items Support the delivery of tasks associated with community events and school functions Administer first aid where necessary Monitor inventory for stationery and first aid supplies Money handling. About you Previous experience providing generalist administrative support Demonstrated capacity to organise and prioritise a range of tasks and set priorities to meet deadlines in a busy office environment Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver support Proven ability in providing accurate and informative assistance to staff, students and parents confidently. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas with enthusiasm Strong computer literacy skills with the ability to operate a variety of platforms and programs including Google and Microsoft Office (especially excel spreadsheets) Organisational planning and coordination skills including the ability to demonstrate flexibility and manage demanding or competing deadlines. Enthusiastic, energetic, with a proactive can do attitude Confident, well-presented and engaging with a personal warmth that engenders mutual respect with staff, parents and visitors Flexible and responsive to the needs of the school community and driven to achieve the best outcomes Willingness to learn and develop in a supported environment Mandatory Criteria Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government Minimum certificate level or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience First Aid Certificate or the ability to attain one Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner. Desirable Criteria Recent administration and/or reception experience in a school or other environment.
