Job Description We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Connect division in Sydney reporting to Lead Software Engineer. As a QA Engineer, you’ll engage with projects from the early stages, ensuring ownership of product and platform quality. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining high standards across the team, acting as a guardian of the customer experience by ensuring only the best goes into production. We look for QA engineers who can strike the perfect balance between sufficient test automation and the team’s ability to deploy rapidly. In this role, you'll be crafting test cases, implementing automated unit tests, and enhancing QA processes to consistently deliver top-quality products to our customers. What you'll do as a QA Engineer: You will be responsible for solutioning, testing, deploying and supporting our new microservice based billing platform. Test cases, automated unit testing, and uplifting QA processes and strategy to ensure we release the highest quality products to our customers Drive QA strategy, ensuring modern DevOps QA practices are adopted Write test automation suites to support continuous deployment Testing of distributed systems and creation of test suites that enable lightweight E2E service integration Ensuring legacy platforms have full regression suites Become involved early in projects/user stories to ensure there is a QA plan Own QA within your team and coach less experienced Engineers in QA best practice Qualifications What you'll need to succeed: Minimum '2 years’ experience in a Quality engineering or Software Engineering Role Strong technical and test automation background. Proven experience in software quality assurance and test automation, with a focus on large-scale distributed systems. Ability to develop test plans, test cases, task cards, and manage test data/requirements, taking ownership from specifications. Proficient in contract testing with familiarity in frameworks such as PACT. Skilled in API testing and regression testing of APIs. Automates manual processes to drive efficiency. Experienced in UI regression testing, with knowledge of frameworks like Playwright and Selenium. Proficient in both functional and non-functional testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage and robust system performance. Knowledgeable in CI/CD practice What's it like to work here?
