On behalf of the company, we are conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Carpenter. Responsibilities: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to understand and all material and construction requirements Determine all materials needed for each job Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed Cut and shape building materials (e.g. fiberglass and steel) according to measurements Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or preconstructed items Lay out floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatible Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance Build scaffolding and other construction structures Assemble and fasten various materials to erect framework Install structures and fixtures Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification At least 2 years work experience Enjoy practical work. Able to cope with the physical demands of the job. Able to work with your hands. Good sense of balance and ability to work at heights. Good at mathematics. Good health and eyesight. Able to work as part of a team. Good decision making and problem solving skills Salary range: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
