Our NSW Government client is hiring for two highly capable Legal Assistantsm - Administration - to join the organisation. Working in a team of around 30, this role will provide vital administrative and clerical support to the Legal team. This will be a short initial contract and requires someone with an excellent ability to adapt to a new environment quickly. Role Title: Legal Assistants - Administration Contract Length: Candidates must be able to start immediately, for a short-term initial contract to the 20/12/2024. Hourly Pay: $50 - $70 Super per hour. Location: Sydney CBD, 2000 (Two days in office, Monday and Wednesday)/ WFH Hybrid. Role Requirements: Provide a wide range of administrative and clerical support services to meet operational requirements and enhance the business unit's efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate the maintenance of diaries for senior management and the arrangement of meetings and training, and travel requirements to support operational efficiency. Administer procurement activities, including raising purchase order requests for goods and services and reconciling and processing invoices for payment to meet operational needs and comply with regulatory and legislative requirements. Distribute circulars and all correspondence, including incoming mail and faxes to keep managers and staff informed and enable them to respond to necessary matters within required timeframes. Create and maintain files and documents in compliance with records management procedures to ensure best practice in enabling information to be efficiently tracked, stored and retrieved. Gather and collate data to support the preparation and production of key management reporting requirements to ensure accurate and timely information is provided to inform management decision making processes. Key Challenges of the role: Balancing and delivering multiple administrative and clerical support activities and services in line with agreed standards, timeframes and milestones, given tight timeframes and the need to maintain accuracy and attention to detail. Exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality in handling critical and sensitive information. Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing clerical and administrative support services. Experience in using software packages in preparing correspondence and reports. Strong attention to detail. Good communication skills. Procurement experience – creating purchase orders, processing invoices etc (preferred). Candidates must be based in or around the Greater Sydney Area (NSW) and must possess existing full working rights - Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
