COMPANY Our client is a leading provider in the civil construction, earthmoving and plant hire sector across South East Queensland. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Estimator in the Civil Construction space, to prepare accurate cost estimates for earthmoving and civil projects. Based in North Brisbane, you will work closely with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and contribute to competitive bidding. ROLE Prepare detailed cost estimates by analysing project drawings, specifications, and scope of work for earthmoving and civil projects. Conduct site visits as necessary to gather data and evaluate project conditions. Develop and manage budgets, forecast costs, and identify opportunities to optimise project expenses. Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information and ensure quotes align with project requirements. Compile estimates into formal bids, ensuring competitive pricing strategies and compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with project teams to review estimates, clarify requirements, and support project planning and execution. Relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Estimation or Cost Planning would be highly advantageous. Proven experience in estimating for civil construction or earthmoving projects. Strong understanding of project costing, contract terms, and construction methods. Familiarity with estimation and project management software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Microsoft Project) is essential. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
