Archerfield location Up to $90k plus Super Local trusted brand This thriving National business in the furniture distribution business is looking for an experience Warehouse Supervisor to join the team in Archerfield. This is a hands on role, perfect for a motivated leader who excels in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing, container unloading, inventory control, and safety management. You'll work closely with a small team to ensure that each task is completed efficiently, securely, and on schedule. This is a permanent full time with onsite parking. The hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. About the role: Daily Operations: Hands-On Picking and Packing: Supervise and actively participate in the accurate, timely picking and packing of furniture orders, ensuring careful handling to meet delivery schedules Unloading Containers: Engage directly in the unloading of containers, overseeing goods are stored securely and protected from damage Order Dispatch: Manage and participate in dispatch activities, ensuring safe handling and timely shipping of furniture orders Reverse Logistics: Handle returned furniture, including receiving, processing, documentation, and storage to ensure items are managed and stored efficiently Team Collaboration: Work alongside your team (starting with one other person) to ensure smooth and efficient task completion, providing guidance and support Site Management & Additional Responsibilities: Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain an organised, clean, and safe warehouse environment with particular attention to the safe storage and movement of furniture Safety and Security: Implement and enforce safety and security protocols, conducting regular inspections, especially related to large, heavy furniture items Inventory Control: Assist with stock level monitoring, conduct regular stocktakes, and ensure accuracy in inventory management Process Improvement: Identify practical, hands-on process improvements tailored to furniture handling Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and safety compliance, ensuring alignment with operational goals About you: Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role, preferably within the furniture industry Strong organisational, multitasking, and leadership skills Knowledge of safety practices and inventory management in a warehouse environment Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and meet deadlines Valid forklift licence Physical fitness for lifting and operating warehouse equipment This role offers the opportunity to be a part of a growing team and to lead with a hands-on approach.
