The Agency ICT Services Branch is responsible for supporting all ICT systems and infrastructure excluding the primary business applications such as SAP CRM and Salesforce CRM. The branch provides and supports ICT services to Agency Staff and Partners. This includes the design, build, and maintenance of ICT applications, infrastructure, and hardware. The directorates and broad functions within the branch include ICT Support, ICT Service Reliability, End User Computing, Site Technology and Networks, Cloud Infrastructure Platforms, Corporate Applications, Technology Asset Management and Identity and Access Management. The key duties of the position include The APS6 Network Engineer is responsible for using discretion and initiative over a broad area of activity with autonomy and accountability. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to: Contributing towards the design, build, deployment, and support of ICT network solutions for the whole agency Developing and managing WAN/LAN infrastructure for an Enterprises using certified methods supported by recognised network accreditations. Managing security protocols across physical, wireless and cloud networks as described in the Network Security Expert Certification Program. Resolving end user and application issues related to network infrastructure using accredited infrastructure management certification methods. Contributing towards network testing, patching and quality control.
