In these roles, you will design, build and enhance single pane of glass monitoring and management tools that optimise the performance of the ICT environment and enable correlation of activities, including networks, servers, applications and services. These roles focus on ensuring operational visibility, availability and performance of key infrastructure and services through real-time monitoring, alerting and reporting solutions, with a move towards adoption of predictive operational and cyber practices. We have three core priorities: building best-in-class people to support DDG’s efforts, underpinned by best-in-class global platforms, supported by best-in-class sovereign capabilities. Our goal is to provide our warfighters and support teams the appropriate technologies needed to fight and win in the digital age. These roles will be part of larger project teams to develop solutions and deliver capability. These are new roles in a growing Branch, and you will be instrumental in helping to build both human and technical capabilities to achieve the Defence mission. About our Team You will be part of a team of ICT professionals delivering complex projects across key Digital domains in both the Military and Enterprise Systems Divisions within Defence Digital Group (DDG). These roles will provide technical expertise, mentorship and coaching in a matrixed construct, as teams and individuals are embedded into projects as needed. As a Digital Engineer in DDG you may either: Lead a team of ICT professionals experienced in key technology platforms/products, or Work individually on projects as the technical engineering SME. Our Ideal Candidate You will have one or more of the following: Extensive experience in designing, deploying and configuring monitoring and control platforms (e.g. Splunk) to track infrastructure performance, service uptime and system health. Experience in the implementation and configuration of automated control systems to monitor and manage processes, networks and server environments. Experience with integrating monitoring systems with cloud environments. Experience working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes.
