Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences There are both full-time and part-time permanent positions Base salary will be in the range $89,861 - $96,402 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6) Based at either our in either the St Lucia, Dutton Park or Herston precincts Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences The newly established Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences (HMBS) will be an interdisciplinary powerhouse of innovation and collaboration to lead integrated solutions to the needs of the communities we serve locally and globally. About This Opportunity As part of the establishment of the new Faculty, we have a number of newly-created Senior Research Administration Officer positions available. In this position, you will be responsible for providing high-level research administration and advisory support to HMBS School, Centre and Institute leadership teams, researchers and support staff, and providing operational support for activities that enhance the research environment and organisational performance. Each position will primarily support and be embedded within one or more Schools, Centres or Institutes in either the St Lucia, Dutton Park or Herston precincts, though may be required to work flexibly across other portfolios (and precincts) to adapt to peak workload periods and/or staff absence. Key responsibilities will include: (Maximum 3-4 points) Providing expert guidance on research administration processes, from onboarding to grant management, ensuring compliance with university policies and regulations. Supporting both pre- and post-award grant activities, including identifying funding opportunities, documentation, approvals, and post-award compliance. Collaborating with various university departments, such as finance, HR, and the Research Office, to ensure research projects align with agreements and reporting requirements. Assisting in improving research administration practices, supporting committees, events, and internal communication, while maintaining knowledge of research performance and priorities. Experience with using university and granting body IT applications. Demonstrated ability to produce research reports and minutes with excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues internal and external to the university including professional, academic staff and health professionals engaged in research. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as demonstrated confidentiality.
