CORPORATE TRAINING COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION [OCT 2024] (Full-time 6-month fixed-term contract) Overview of role ILSC Education Group is one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing language and vocational schools, known for the quality, rigour and variety of programs that are tailored to best meet international student needs and interests. Under the leadership of the Director of Studies ILSC Melbourne & National Corporate Training, the Corporate Training Coordinator supports the establishment and development of the ILSC Corporate Training division through ongoing, active collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including Curriculum Team, ILSC & Greystone Faculty, Marketing Team, potential and ongoing partners. They are engaged in both ELICOS teaching and corporate training. As an ELICOS teacher, they play a crucial role in teaching across ILSC’s language programs, engaging ILSC students in their English language studies, and ensuring best practice in learning & teaching methodologies, classroom management, assessment, and use of educational technology. As a corporate trainer, they are key to helping expand ILSC’s presence in the corporate training sector, building relationships with corporate clients, and developing bespoke learning & development programs. The role focuses on engaging ILSC corporate clients, determining their internal training needs, and co-designing effective training programs and materials at the organisational and individual level. The Corporate Training Coordinator works with client HR departments and with individuals to design relevant programs that incorporate knowledge of human resources functions, business intelligence, budgeting, project management and learning & development practices, combined with the necessary linguistic confidence, competence, people and communicative skills for career success in an English-speaking or international environment. The Corporate Training Coordinator brings exceptional customer service and customer relations experience to the role. They effectively represent ILSC and Greystone College to diverse external stakeholders, catering to precise client goals and needs, and supporting client progress and satisfaction. The role requires working collaboratively and constructively within the ILSC & Greystone academic and professional teams, completing all administrative and reporting tasks as required, and adhering to relevant ILSC Policies and Procedures. In addition to their teaching and training, the Corporate Training Coordinator fulfills extra duties to support the ILSC Corporate Training division and the Director of Studies ILSC Melbourne & National Corporate Training through bespoke course design, implementation and coordination, and engaging and supporting corporate clients with their training needs. The Corporate Training Coordinator also assists with implementing the administration workflows for official corporate training agreements, and with further recruitment and enrolment of individual organisations and clients. They are key to representing ILSC & Greystone in new and ongoing external partnerships and communications and at external events, including education fairs and job fairs. The Corporate Training Coordinator will represent ILSC’s core values internally and externally, upholding a collaborative and supportive staffroom ethos, and participating actively in sector Communities of Practice and Special Interest Groups, such as the English Australia Academic Managers SIG and IATEFL BESIG. The Corporate Training Coordinator is supported by the ILSC Head Teachers, works within a team of national Corporate Training Coordinators, seeks guidance from the Director of Studies ILSC Melbourne & National Corporate Training for corporate training matters, and reports to the local campus Director of Studies for ELICOS teaching. The Corporate Training Coordinator is engaged under the terms of The National Employment Standards (NES) and the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020. Job Duties The ELICOS Teacher duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following tasks: Teach a variety of multimodal (face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid) ELICOS classes, including Business English as needed (teaching roster and total teaching hours to vary based on operational need, up to 25 hours/week) Work collaboratively with ILSC Head Teachers and other ILSC Teachers Collaborate with ILSC Global Curriculum Team and local Resources Coordinator as needed Prepare and upload clear lesson plans prior to each lesson Perform periodical analyses of student goals and needs against set learning outcomes Embrace a principled communicative methodological approach Engage students in their learning through a student-centred teaching philosophy Enhance classroom learning and teaching by implementing new resources and technologies Provide students with regular formative feedback including writing tasks and summative academic progress reports in accordance with ILSC guidelines Be alert to and escalate student welfare concerns as appropriate Complete all teaching-related admin accurately and within required deadlines Attend and actively participate in Session Meetings & Professional Development Sessions Actively contribute to ILSC’s positive learning ethos and inclusive, collegiate staffroom culture Commit to reflective practice (self/peer observations, engaging with ELT literature and trends) Participate in and represent ILSC in SIGs and CoPs Other related duties or projects as determined by the campus Director of Studies The Corporate Training Coordinator duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following tasks: With the Director of Studies ILSC Melbourne & National Corporate Training, assist with promotions, registrations and prospective clients Liaise with national and international organisations and start-ups on partnerships Work alongside the Director of Studies ILSC Melbourne & National Corporate Training, fellow Corporate Training Coordinators, Head Teachers and Resource Coordinators to ensure ILSC & Greystone Australia take a principled, thorough and aligned approach to all ILSC Corporate Training interactions and operations with clients, and with all internal and external stakeholders Liaise with company HR Departments to determine bespoke needs and advertise Corporate Training Programs to employees Regularly canvass corporate sector learning & development needs, protocols and trends, regulatory guides, best practice guides, literature and industry initiatives to ensure ILSC is a leader in Corporate Training education delivery Assist with booking and cancellation management and invoicing With the Director of Studies ILSC Melbourne & National Corporate Training, source, train and coordinate both face-to-face and online corporate trainers Provide continued support and mentoring for new and existing trainers Regularly ensure training materials are current and relevant Guide trainers and clients towards relevant learning options as appropriate Analyse training effectiveness, follow-up and modification as required Identify program areas for continuous improvement Funnel teacher/course/assessment feedback through to Global Curriculum Team for continuous improvement Collaborate with relevant ILSC & Greystone College departments including global ILSC Corporate Training divisions Connect with industry colleagues, networks and SIGS (e.g. EA AMSIG, IATEFL BESIG, ILP) across and beyond ILSC to pool knowledge and generate ideas and discussion on Business English National Corporate Training Key Selection Criteria Education and Experience Recognised bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) Trinity CertTESOL, Cambridge CELTA, or Cert IV TESOL (or equivalent) Excellent understanding of TESOL methodology, programs, and assessment practices Experience teaching Business English courses Experience in corporate sector training solutions & adult learning principles (desirable) Experience with online learning management systems and multimodal delivery Knowledge of MS Office apps & workflows Demonstrated focus on continuous professional development (English Australia CPD Framework, IATEFL BESIG and NEAS CPD Points highly regarded) Skills and Attributes Passionate about English language teaching, international education and corporate training Excellent
