Role Overview Due to a rapidly expanding portfolio of projects, we are looking at expanding our MV/HV design team. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team based out of our Hendra Office in Hendra. The role requires at least 1-3 years of relevant experience that would enable you to be responsible for the supervision of designs from concept to the detailed design phase, for projects in the medium/high voltage distribution space. Competency in the use of electrical CAD and calculation software such as AutoCAD 2D, ETAP and PowerCad etc. is required as well as familiarity with preparing documentation to Australian standards and in line with industry best practices. Key Responsibilities You will work with your fellow engineers and supervise with the following: Power system modelling at MV/HV including load flow, system strength and fault studies, Power quality analysis, protection coordination and dynamic disturbance analysis RPEQ certification of developed designs Supervision of design tasks for MV/HV power systems, electrical switchboards and control panels Supervision of MV/HV systems to AS 2067 Supervision of MV/HV protection systems to IEC 60909-0 and AS 2067 using resources such as NPAG and IEEE ‘Buff Book’ Input into Safety in Design workshop ensuring principles in accordance with state based WH&S legislation Review of project specifications, design reports and other project documentation as required Lead technical discussions internally, with customers and with suppliers on behalf of CV Services as required Qualifications RPEQ Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Required Experience/Skills Practical understanding and approach to electrical works 1-3 years of experience in a similar role Simple use of AutoCAD, ETAP and PowerCad software Safety in design experience Proven ability to create technical and design specification documents Well-developed written and oral communication skills Ability to work well within a team environment About CV CV maintains a loyal and growing customer base which is made possible by our exceptional teams and our drive to create outstanding businesses that we are proud of.
