About the Role An exciting opportunity has become available for a Principal Engineer - Traffic and Transport, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the design, development, and implementation of traffic and transport projects. You will lead a team and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement strategic plans for traffic and transport projects. Investigate and report on community raised traffic issues, determining appropriate treatments. Provide expert advice and input for City Council meetings regarding traffic and safety requirements. Conduct warrant assessments using the City's traffic management intervention criteria. Identify, investigate, and prepare submissions for Black Spot Program funding. Review development applications and Traffic Impact Assessment reports to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards. Lead and mentor a team to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions. Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to address transportation challenges. Conduct traffic studies, analyse data, and recommend forward-thinking solutions. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards. What are we looking for? To be successful in this role you will need: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Extensive experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning. Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects. Strong communication and interpersonal. A current WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence. What can the City of Vincent offer you?
