Product Owner (Product Engineering) Full Time Permanent Opportunity We are currently seeking a Product Owner for our Platform Engineering team to spearhead the creation and evolution of cutting-edge platform solutions that enhance developer productivity, streamline workflows, and drive technological innovation across our organisation. As the Product Owner for the Platform Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between engineering needs, business objectives, and technological capabilities. You will be a key decision-maker in shaping our platform roadmap and strategy, driving sustainable growth and efficiency in an increasingly complex technological landscape. Industry & Domain Knowledge: Proven track record in managing and prioritising Internal Developer Platform features and capabilities Technology & Application Knowledge : Strong understanding of software engineering principles, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and infrastructure-as-code concepts. Strong Analytical & Problem-solving Acumen : Discovering and solving problems based on engineering team feedback and guided by data-driven decision-making principles. User & Customer Knowledge: Keen insight into engineering needs to drive developer-centric product decisions. Product Optimisation: Proven experience in continuous improvement which leads to the enhancement of products, value and user satisfaction. Story Telling & Evangelism: Effective communicator with the ability to articulate the product vision and value proposition clearly. Decision Making: Strong decision-making skills, balancing customer desirability, business viability, and technical feasibility. Emotional Intelligence: High emotional intelligence to navigate team dynamics and stakeholder relationships effectively. Resilience: Ability to maintain performance under pressure and bounce back from setbacks. Adaptability: A growth mindset with strong but loosely held opinions, challenging assumptions and willing to listen to all feedback Desirable: Data & Experimentation: Experience in using data and experimentation to drive product decisions and innovation. Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles to ensure economically viable product solutions. Strategic Acumen: Ability to align product initiatives with long-term business objectives. Business & Company Knowledge: Deep understanding of GFS business operations and company goals to align product strategies effectively.
