Electrical and Control System Engineer Location: Site - 4:3 Roster home every weekend Duration: 6-month initial contract Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering Degree, with at least 5 years’ professional experience in Control Systems Engineering. Experience working with mining and minerals processing. Demonstrate competency of ensuring all Control System engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices. Competency with PLC platforms – Schneider PLC’s Competency with SCADA HMI platforms – Citect SCADA Familiar and competency with process control communications protocols – Ethernet IP, DNP3, Modbus, OPC, Profinet. Can read and interpret electrical drawings and documentation, test and validation documentation, commissioning documentation and change management documentation. Competent with PLC software development such as ladder logic and FBD. Competency with drive interface design including VSD, E/DOL and Soft Starter Troubleshoot and identify problems with control systems and industrial communications. Ability to work as a team player with peers and other discipline engineers. Previous experience with Rio Tinto Control Systems. Responsibilities: Site support of existing control systems, input and assistance with design and commissioning of small to medium sized projects based on site. Role will be reporting to the Rio Tinto Maintenance Manager, and will be working with WSP colleagues with significant site knowledge.
