About The Role: Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Compare the Market is looking for a talented Marketing Technology Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll act as the vital link between marketing and technology, leveraging your expertise to drive innovative solutions across our platforms. You'll be instrumental in multiple transformational projects as we evolve into “CTM 2.0.” You’ll bring deep platform and domain expertise to architect and engineer solutions that enable key business outcomes. Our MarTech approach is integrated across the organisation, focusing on data collection, propagation, integration, and automation using enterprise-grade platforms. In this role, your expertise in Digital Analytics development, Marketing Automation, and Web Performance will be fully utilised as you tackle complex problems and deliver impactful solutions. You’ll work across key focus areas, including Adtech & Social, CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) and A/B/n testing, as well as insights and data visualisation, making this a truly multifaceted position. What You’ll Do: Provide leadership and expertise across key areas including data governance, marketing automation, and audience segmentation. Manage tasks throughout their lifecycle, from requirements definition to implementation, quality assurance, and troubleshooting. Drive marketing automation and journey building using platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe, or Braze, with a focus on creativity and openness to new technologies. Utilise Google Marketing Platform (GMP360) and Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) for advanced analytics and tag management. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to deliver best-in-class MarTech solutions and drive ambitious projects. Support data flows for a Single Customer View and CDP development, enhancing personalisation across channels (Email, SMS, Push Notifications). Connect data platforms with marketing channels to deliver personalised, omni-channel messages to customers. Contribute to CX improvements using analytics and testing platforms, and lead integrations with CX tools. Bring or develop expertise in areas such as data/analytics, A/B testing, AdTech, APIs, and enterprise data platforms. What You’ll Bring: Relevant qualifications or equivalent platform experience are highly valued. Proven experience in Marketing Automation, Digital Marketing, Campaign Management, or IT-related fields. Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud platforms, with Salesforce Marketing Cloud knowledge desirable but not essential. A solid understanding of the marketing landscape, including IT enterprise architecture, CRM, analytics, and data governance. Familiarity with DSPs, DMPs, CDPs, CRMs, and other key MarTech tools. Technical proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, and APIs. Experience with logging and web performance tools (e.g., New Relic, Splunk, Cloudflare). Knowledge of event-streaming architecture for both front-end and back-end systems. Ability to navigate complex environments, ideally within multi-brand organisations.
