Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing data infrastructures in highly regulated environments, particularly within the professional indemnity insurance domain. In this role, you will be instrumental in uplifting and re-engineering data environment, ensuring a seamless transition to modern core systems such as Salesforce and Duck Creek. As a Data Engineer, you will take ownership of designing scalable data architectures, developing robust ETL processes, and leveraging advanced cloud technologies like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF), dbt and Snowflake to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable data management. In this role, you will also play a critical part in ensuring data governance, compliance, and security. Your expertise in handling sensitive data and building frameworks for effective data governance will be essential in maintaining compliance with industry standards. Furthermore, your ability to deliver comprehensive and actionable business insights using Power BI and other BI tools will support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Mandatory Skills: 4 years of experience in designing and building data pipelines, with expertise in both batch and real-time processing in a cloud environment, preferably within Azure. Strong understanding of Data & Analytics concepts and technologies, including data warehousing, ETL, visualization, and reporting, with a focus on creating business value. Strong expertise in working with tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake for data transformation, storage, and management. Experience with Salesforce and SQL Server integrations, specifically in data migration and synchronization between these platforms. Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation in cloud environments. Strong understanding of data governance and data security best practices, particularly in regulated environments such as insurance. Experience in applying DevOps principles to automate and manage CI/CD pipelines for data workflows. Experience in developing and delivering BI solutions using Power BI, with a focus on usability and performance optimization. Duties and Responsibilities: Uplift and re-engineer data infrastructure to support advanced analytics and ensure efficient data flow across the organization. Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient data movement and transformation. Build and manage robust data architectures using to support the storage and analysis of large datasets, ensuring scalability and reliability. Implement and enforce strong data governance and compliance processes to meet the strict regulatory requirements of the Medical Indemnity insurance industry. Apply DevOps practices to manage and automate data workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure scaling. Utilize dbt for data modeling, transformation, and orchestration, ensuring that the data is organized and integrated efficiently. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that support real-time analytics and reporting. Develop and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring that actionable insights are available for decision-making.
