Location: Broadmeadows Role Type: 2x Full Time, Ongoing Positions (Roles commencing January 2025) Remuneration: $82,821- $103,139 (plus 11.5% Superannuation) About us: BKI is seeking an experienced Community Service Teacher (with a Specialisation in Youth Work) to join our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) Department at Broadmeadows Campus to teach and inspire the next generation You will be working in ultra-modern facilities, equipped with simulation labs to train professionals within the community sector. About The Role: It is the vision of BKI to be acknowledged as a leading educator and trainer in work and life skills, making a real difference for students and industry across the communities we serve. The key purpose of this role is to deliver quality vocational education and training and conduct competency-based assessment in specified program(s) in a range of settings including classroom, workplace and online environments to support this vision. We are excited about you because you have: Qualifications: Certificate IV or Diploma in Youth Work (required) Diploma in Community Service (desirable) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122, CHC40421, OR Currently studying (enrolled and actively working towards completing TAE within the next 6 months) OR have a completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110) including design & develop assessment tools (TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B) and address adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A) Current industry experience within the Community Services sector essential Relevant Industry experience working in the Youth Sector essential Experience and Knowledge: Relevant Industry experience working with At Risk Youth and across the Community Sector Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel etc Has an understanding of cultural sensitivity and respects and values difference Can identify language, literacy and numeracy issues Can adapt communication style to suit audience and context Ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders Understands the concepts and practices underpinning digital and blended learning and applies as a supplement to the learning program Ability to use digital learning for administrative functions, to communicate, collaborate and for presentations Provision (and maintenance) of current driver's license where relevant We can offer you: Relocation reimbursement and incentive payment after 12 months of employment Attractive work-life balance and flexible work options Free onsite parking at most of our campuses Fitness Passport Program with exclusive access for you and your family to 230 locations Australia wide Counselling support (EAP) and Health & Wellbeing initiatives throughout the year Meaningful work that drives positive social impact The opportunity to build a career in a world leading vocational education and training sector, with diverse and emerging career opportunities across Australia.
