Initial 2-month contract – Government Agency Blackburn Location – Hybrid Working Environment Managing a team of 4 – Windows and Linux Administrators The Role: The Lead Systems Engineer will lead a team of 4 while managing the clients datacentre and server environments, including analysis, design, installation, maintenance of their operational function. You will be responsible for: Leading technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex and major infrastructure and performance incidents Automate server Operating System patching Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards for systems functions Manage internal and external 2nd and 3rd level support engineers and escalate to the Infrastructure Manager as required Maintain all files and records in an up-to-date and accurate manner You will have: 3 years’ experience in leading a small team of system administrators Experience building and deploying Windows 10 SOE/MOE in enterprise environments Strong skills hardening, securing, and automating AD environments, including Office 365 and Azure.
