Summary: Our client, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Australia are looking for a highly experienced Automation (Systems Owner) Engineer for a 6-month-long contract at their Broadmeadows site. Role summary: The Execution Systems Department provides automation and control systems expertise at our clients’ site in the northern suburbs. As part of their significant investment in their Broadmeadows pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, our client is continuing to improve our automation and manufacturing capabilities. We are looking for a platform owner who will be responsible for technical installation and setup, account administration, maintenance, reliability, performance and compliance of core system platforms (PCS, MES, PLC, SCADA) and associated interfaces. The role responsibilities: Executing improvements, upgrades support and maintenance of systems including windows server administration, system virtualization support, Hotfix and patch deployment This is for local platforms such as Siemens PCS-7, JAG and Schneider Our ideal candidate will work in close partnership with the IT infrastructure team to deliver a seamless, integrated, compliant and holistic framework for control system platform management and administration You will drive technical alignment between different GxP control system platforms by ensuring system configuration access and maintenance systems are aligned SAP and LIMs Must have: Degree in the discipline of Computer Science; Mechatronics; Computer Systems Engineering or a similar field with a focus on controls, automation or IT. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Server Virtualization, Thin Clients, System backup, archiving and recovery, System networking including DNS, SMTP, NTP, vLAN, Network Switches / Routers and Firewalls. Demonstrated capability for maintenance and compliance support of complex and integrated control systems from initial development through operation of the facility. Degree in the discipline of Computer Science; Mechatronics; Computer Systems Engineering or a similar field with a focus on controls, automation or IT.
