Job Description The Mt Gravatt Aquatic and Fitness Centre is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic, casual Babies and Toddlers instructor to teach our littlest swimmers, and grow our Babies program. Candidates must be able to commit to allocated weekly hours across our learn to swim program. The successful candidate will provide our babies and infants classes an encouraging, fun and happy environment, fostering confidence in the water and future progression through our Learn to Swim program. The availability to teach Babies classes in addition to other classes in our program, will be looked upon favourably. Located at the Griffith University Mt Gravatt Campus, shifts will primarily be weekday mornings (9:00am to 12:00pm) and Saturdays (7.30am to 12:00pm). You could expect to work around 10-20 hours per week pending your availability. Qualifications AUSTSWIM Teaching and Water Safety Certificate (for Learn to Swim Teachers) or ASCTA Teacher of Swimming Certification Extension certificate in teaching Infants and Preschoolers (AUSTSWIM) or Babies and Toddlers (ASCTA) or in the process of completing Current CPR Certificate Blue Card - positive application Desirable AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics, or willing to obtain Previous experience as a Learn to Swim Teacher; Swim Australia and/or AUSTSWIM extension certificates.
