Due to a high volume of projects, they are seeking an experienced Fire Services Designer / Drafter to join their team in Brisbane. The Role As a Fire Services Designer, you will be instrumental in designing and planning fire protection systems for a wide array of projects. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients, your role is to develop customized fire protection solutions that align with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities: Collaborate with project teams to grasp client requirements and project specifications. Design and draft fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems in CAD and REVIT. Conduct site visits and assessments to gather pertinent information for designing fire safety solutions. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems. Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address concerns and provide technical expertise. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire protection systems. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in designing fire protection systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects, ideally with a contractor. Proficiency in AutoCAD and, particularly, Revit for design, and Hyena for hydraulic calculations. Strong knowledge of Australian fire codes, standards, and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
