Technology People has partnered with a renowned company to find them a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement and maintain security controls for their network and applications. In this role you'll be a part of the broader Infrastructure team and own the Incident Management process as well as their Security management functions. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office per week. Responsibilities: Design and maintain security controls for our network, systems, and applications. Perform vulnerability assessments and manage penetration tests to fix security issues. Monitor security logs for suspicious activity and respond to incidents. Develop and enforce security policies. Create and manage a security roadmap that aligns with business risk. Stay updated on new security threats. Participate in incident response and recovery. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security throughout development. Provide security training for employees. Advise the Security Committee on risks and security reporting. Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery efforts. Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience. 2 years in security engineering or 5 years in cloud/DevOps with cybersecurity experience or certifications. 3 years working with network servers, patch management, and security tools (firewalls, intrusion detection, antivirus, SIEMs, etc.). Knowledge of security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, Data Privacy Act). Familiarity with web technologies and network protocols. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). Great communication and influential skills Ability to work independently, lead teams, and manage vendors.
