We have an opening for a casual Farm Hand to join our operations at Warra in October for 6 months. This role offers a great opportunity to join an exciting, industry leading Agribusiness. About the Property Warra Aggregation is located southwest from the Western Darling Downs town Warra, straddling the Condamine River. The aggregation consists of 4360Ha mixed irrigated and dryland farming . The property is located at Warra 50km west of Dalby on the Darling Downs. Dalby has all your needs covered with schools, shopping centre and sports. Warra is perfectly situated just a couple of hours from major cities and beaches in South East Queensland, making it an ideal spot for weekend adventures. About the Role Reporting to the Farm Manager, the Farm Hand is responsible for all on-farm operations at the expanding irrigated and dryland farming operation in the Warra, QLD district. This role is responsible for, but not limited to ground preparation, spraying, planting, irrigation, pump and machinery maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Assist with land management practices including: Weed and pest animal control Drought preparedness Soil erosion prevention Fire management Nature conservation Machinery Operation and Maintenance – general servicing, maintenance and repairs of property vehicles, machinery, small motors and irrigation infrastructure Carrying out general property maintenance and repairs Adherence to safe operating procedures.
