If you are driven to make a difference in someone's life, then this role is for You About the role We are looking for several motivated, caring and compassionate disability support workers to work 2 to 3 shifts per week, including sleepovers, supporting our female client. Our client, in her thirties, is looking for support with household chores, personal care and other daily living activities. You will be provided with a robust induction and ongoing training to support your work with our client. Physical requirements of the role · Verbal and physical support during personal care · Support with general daily living activities including cooking and cleaning · Medication administration · Managing situations of physical conflict · Documentation including shift notes, incident reports and client monitoring charts · Attending and participating in team meetings and training Psychosocial requirements of the role · Strong verbal communication skills · Providing supports consistent with the needs of a person with level 3 autism and anxiety · Supporting our client through behaviours of concern by adhering to her behaviour support plan · Managing incidents by following Unisson's policies and procedures Skills, abilities, and personal characteristics: · Female applicants only (as per client request) · Skilled and experienced in complex behavioural support · Comprehensive understanding of level 3 autism (professional or lived experience) · Clear English · Ability to adhere to positive behavioural support strategies · Resilience and problem-solving skills · Computer literacy · P2 or full drivers license · NDIS Workers Screening Check · First Aid certificate
