About the Role: As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer , you will take a leading role in the design and coordination of electrical systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality design documentation and working closely with the construction and management teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Reporting directly to senior management, this role provides opportunities for leadership and career growth. Key Duties: Lead the design and coordination of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and control systems Manage project design activities and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines Conduct design calculations and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines Collaborate with construction teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design queries Produce design documentation and reports, including 3D modelling in Revit and lighting calculations using Relux or Dialux Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering recognized by Engineers Australia Proficiency in design sub-disciplines such as lighting, power circuitry, and control systems Strong understanding of construction safety, methods, and procedures Proficient in relevant software including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and PowerCAD 5 years of experience in electrical design on commercial or industrial projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and electrical service regulations About Ignite: Ignite is a leading recruitment and technology solutions provider with over 40 years of experience in connecting talented professionals with top-tier employers across Australia.
