The Solution Design function plays an important role in the development of solution designs, defines interface contracts for the respective channels and ensures that they align with domain and project architectures. As a Senior Solution Designer sitting within the Cash and Transactional Banking division you will deliver customer servicing and originations technology solutions for the bank’s customer portfolio via both online and staff facing channels. The applications delivered are focused on user experience and are built to utilise browser display capabilities for use on multiple platforms across multiple brands within the bank. You will also provide expert technical and domain expertise to both business and IT, covering all aspects of system applications including development, maintenance, support, selection, configuration, testing, implementation and enhancements across multi domains. Proven results in mid-senior level functions in the IT Industry with a background in systems development, support and maintenance Strong knowledge in solution architecture, system design and contemporary IT practices Ability to quickly understand the functions and capabilities of new technology Supplier relationship management skills A firm understanding of a financial services operating environment, applications and products Experience in systems integration Advanced analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills Strong understanding of API & REST API principles Strong experience with tools such as Swagger/Open API, Tomcat, IDEA, Eclipse, Postman, Sonar Qube, Splunk Experience working in Agile development environment What’s it like to work there?
