Position: Kindergarten Teacher Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $87,000 to $88,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Condon QLD 4815 Our client is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher who is responsible for providing high-quality educational and care services tailored to the cultural and developmental needs of children and families. This role encompasses curriculum development, program implementation, and compliance with various educational standards and regulations. This role requires a blend of educational expertise, effective communication, and a commitment to nurturing a safe and inclusive learning environment for young children. Summary of key duties and responsibilities: Curriculum Development and Implementation Design and implement an innovative early childhood education program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Queensland Learning Kindergarten Guideline (QLKG), and National Quality Standards (NQS). Ensure program compliance with relevant legislation, including the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety Regulations, Fire and Evacuation Legislation, Family Assistance Law and delivery of Child Care Subsidy. Program Delivery Deliver a kindergarten program that includes diverse experiences such as physical activity, music, and community engagement. Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program and teaching strategies. Family and Community Engagement Establish and maintain meaningful communication with children and families to foster a sense of belonging and provide a supportive learning environment. Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to enhance children's connection to the community. Health, Safety, and Hygiene Ensure children's safety and well-being through active supervision and adherence to health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and hygienic environment and promote healthy practices among children. Assessment and Documentation Conduct regular observations and assessments to document children's learning and progress. Collaborate with families to prepare transition statements and support individual learning plans. Professional Development and Team Collaboration Commit to ongoing professional development and reflective practices. Work collaboratively with other educators, mentoring trainees and volunteers. Sustainability Practices Promote environmental awareness and sustainable practices within the educational setting. Engage children in activities that encourage caring for the environment. Administrative Responsibilities Participate in administrative tasks related to program planning, compliance documentation, and reporting. Ensure all relevant forms and records are completed accurately and promptly. Child-Centred Approach and Positive Interactions with Children Recognize and respond to each child’s individual needs, interests, and cultural backgrounds. Support children’s agency by encouraging independent decision-making. Build self-esteem and support positive behaviour among children. Foster respectful and reciprocal relationships with all children, ensuring their dignity and rights are upheld. Compliance Comply with any policies and complete necessary documentation to meet all regulatory standards. Maintain comprehensive and confidential records for each child, including developmental milestones, health information, and cultural considerations, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Always uphold a high standard of personal appearance and professionalism, including when discussing the centre outside of work. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree level qualification in relevant field (approved by ACECQA) Minimum of at least two (2) years of work experience in relevant field Current First Aid Certificate (approved by ACECQA) Current CPR Certificate (approved by ACECQA) Current Anaphylaxis Training (approved by ACECQA) Current Emergency Asthma Management Training (approved by ACECQA) Current Working with Children Check or teacher registration (exemption) as required Commitment to maintaining current knowledge and attend additional training as necessary
