Our traineeship will give you real industry experience in: Customer service, reception and assisting owners with the health and wellbeing of their dog in our boutique Dog handling, learn how to read a dog’s body language and how to interact with all breeds, sizes and temperaments Dog behaviour and socialisation, learn to how effectively manage a doggy day care environment, monitor social interactions between dogs, provide enrichment activities, conduct health checks and provide dog walking services throughout the day Grooming salon assistance, how to conduct grooming consultations with owners and groomers, learn about different breeds, coat types, grooming services and how to wash, dry dogs and provide assistance to a grooming team If enrolled in the Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) how to groom dogs of all breeds and sizes to a high standard ABOUT YOU: You are passionate about dogs and their wellbeing You are motivated, dedicated and reliable You work best under pressure You have a calm and gentle nature You are healthy and fit and ready to keep up with our doggy clients You have a great support network to support you through your traineeship (besides us of course) You will enrol and actively participate in a Certificate III in Animal Care Services or Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) with the Kangan Institute of TAFE If this sounds like the pawfect opportunity for you please apply with your resume, a cover letter detailing why would like this opportunity and why we should offer you a traineeship with us and a minimum of two references.
