21st October, 2024 About the team You will work with the three partners of our Melbourne team primarily alongside, Scott Schlink, in a front end role with private and public sector clients advising on all aspects of construction, infrastructure, renewable and conventional energy, major projects and engineering. Whilst the partners are Melbourne based, the team works collaboratively across our National offices and on projects across the country, thus we are able to offer a depth of practice and project diversity not offered by many other teams in the market. About the role You will gain exposure across a wide range of transactions and with clients in both the private and public sector. At the Senior Associate level it is our expectation that you will have the ability and desire to run transactions and to work closely with our clients as well as to support the more junior members of the team. We actively encourage our lawyers to work with our clients and to build relationships with them. You will also be encouraged to take a lead role in the delivery of training and updates for both the team and our clients. About you The successful lawyer will have a solid background in front end construction and infrastructure projects with a minimum of 3 years PAE working with clients in both the public and private sector. Given the nature of the work you will have strong technical skills and be confident in taking the lead in transactions and supervising a team of junior lawyers. This opportunity will suit someone who is able to work relatively autonomously, with appropriate partner support, and who is keen to play a role in the ongoing growth and development of the team. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills and drive and enjoy a busy work environment and a collaborative work culture.
