The key purpose of this role is to provide outstanding teaching, learning and caring as an effective member of the Senior School (Years 7 to 12), with proven experience, expertise and willingness to teach VCE English at Year 12 level. The successful candidate is required to teach English classes that accommodate mixed abilities, promote the objectives of pastoral care at St Michael’s, and commit to co-curricular activities during the School year according to the co-curricular responsibilities structure and commensurate with the time fraction of the role. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract and will commence on 23 January 2025 with a 0.4 load. The load comprises one Year 12 English class, one Year 9 English class and a small House Tutor or Private Study allotment. Within the two-week cycle, the successful candidate will have both Fridays off, with the teaching load blocked to also accommodate several half-days.
