Senior Design Lead | 3 Month Contract | Up to $892 p/d incl. super $700 - $800 p/d super 3 month contract (High Potential to Extend) Sydney CBD/WFH About the Role The role will lead the design and integration into the built environment of all aspects of the design and customer information experience for assigned programs, covering a portfolio of projects. Lead and manage coordination across relevant stakeholders, channels and deliverables, to ensure that program outcomes meet customer and transport requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead design application of the new design system and completion of design documentation packages across one or more assigned programs. Provide high quality analysis, develop options and coordinate robust design solutions to address site- and project-specific issues that arise in applying the new design system. Act as a subject matter expert in the understanding and application of the TfNSW design system. Represent the Design program in internal and external forums, collaborative sessions, workshops and on governance groups, and contribute effectively to project outcomes. Develop and nurture collaborative working relationships with project teams, delivery teams, operational personnel, agencies and project stakeholders, to ensure that planned designs meets operational and customer needs. Develop and complete design documentation, reports, schedules and presentations as required. Effectively work with and manage external and internal designers as necessary to achieve project deliverables. Manage multiple work packages and deliverables concurrently, ensuring that deadlines are managed and met. Provide design direction to and manage outputs of one or more Design Leads or Graphic Designers, depending on program needs and assignments. Key Challenges: Providing effective design leadership on design and customer information issues. Providing high quality and timely responses aligned with business objectives and project demands. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of operational, technical and design stakeholders from across the project team and transport portfolio, and influencing them to achieve consistent and effective design solutions and customer outcomes. About You Tertiary qualifications in information design, industrial design, graphic design, interior design, exhibitions design, urban design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Strong stakeholder consultation skills Demonstrated experience in information or industrial design, with a focus on wayfinding or signage systems. Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite - specifically Design and Illustrator Competent in Microsoft Suite - specifically Word and Excel Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
