Home Job Info Teaching Role Description/Criteria NEW OPPORTUNITIES Commencing 2025 we are seeking candidates who can teach individual lessons, run our choirs and direct singers in our College Musical. SINGING TEACHER The successful applicants will possess the following skills and experience: Experience as a performer Skills to teach young voices Knowledge and willingness to teach a wide variety of musical genres relevant to teenagers Skills to develop stagecraft and confidence in our performers Skills to improvise/teach vocal harmonies that may or may not be notated Skills conducting vocal ensembles The ability to coach singers for our College Musical Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with students and school staff The successful applicants will also demonstrate the following attributes: A strong commitment to our Catholic Ethos, including willingness to conduct the choirs at mass Ability to work in a dynamic environment Holds a current Working with Children Check or VIT Registration Ability to attend after school rehearsals The College has a large number of singers, and it is likely that the candidate would be required at least three days a week during term time.
