Key Responsibilities Work closely with and support Manager(s), Scrum Master(s) and team members throughout the end to end software development cycle. As a representative of the Nuix Engineering team, the role includes contributing to the planning and following best practices regarding software engineering and developing key technical, team, community and communication skills. The professional growth that will be developed from success in this position will be: - Capability to work within a team environment which is also part of a scaled engineering organisation - Technical skills aligned towards the support of a large scale product engineering lifecycle, customer-specific requirements including the application of standards, quality control measures and efficiency automation. Key Responsibilities: Please note that these duties and responsibilities are a guideline and by no means comprehensive. Additional tasks may be added from time to time at the discretion of your Manager / Director. - Deliver scalable and performant solutions as part of an Agile team - Participate in the planning and development of new products and processes. Ensuring that such practices and other official Nuix Engineering processes are followed - Develop software from approved designs and/or requirements adhering to all relevant standards and making efficient use of Nuix’s software development environment ensuring code quality is in line with the relevant coding standards with assistance from senior team members - Performs narrower coding/testing tasks that have little interdependencies - Provide maintenance support as scheduled during business hours - Learning various feature areas and how to develop in them - Focused on their teams delivery by making sure their tasks are progressing and their statuses are being maintained in the backlog system - Attend learning sessions, training, and seek learning resources to fill gaps in your knowledge - Performs code reviews Skills, Knowledge and Expertise - Degree in a relevant field such as computer science/engineering, software engineering, machine learning, mathematics or related quantitative discipline - 0-3 years’ experience in a similar role - Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple time-zones - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail - Commitment to work collaboratively & cross-functionally - Willingness to learn & develop professionally - Ability to deliver & thrive within ambiguity - Genuine commitment to providing solutions based customer experiences - Complete commitment to collaborating with the team to achieve high performance and meet targets - Willingness to work flexible hours in line with the needs of an international company Skills & Characteristics: Technical - Ability to accurately estimate development and testing effort - Provide maintenance support as scheduled during business hour Personal Profile - Excellent people skills.
