On top of joining a supportive and positive culture, you'll receive: Personally customized career development plans Employer of Choice - The Australian Business Awards 2024 Additional paid leave options Employee referral bonus Access to personal and financial counselling services The opportunity to give back with our Buildcorp Foundation Access to Rugby tickets in season You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive team environment that are committed to growth and high-quality delivery You will be responsible for: Implementing and maintaining the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations Developing and delivering HSE training programs for employees, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders Investigating incidents and near misses, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence Collaborating with project teams to integrate HSE requirements into project plans, risk assessments, and method statements. Monitoring and reporting on HSE performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Contributing to the development of emergency response plans and ensuring effective communication during emergency situations. You will have: Demonstrated Commercial Construction experience Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or related field Demonstrated experience in a similar HSE role within the construction industry Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards pertaining to HSE Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation Proven ability to influence positive behavioural change towards safety within a diverse workforce. The person we are looking for will have: Skills/Knowledge: Working knowledge of State and Federal legislation regarding HSE Ability to understand and apply policy and procedures that meet legislative requirements regarding health, safety and the environment Thorough understanding of the Buildcorp HSE Management System and its application on site Ability to conduct thorough workplace inspections and report findings Ability to conduct site inductions Ability to design and implement effective training courses Strong influencing and negotiations skills Computer literate across the Microsoft Office suite Understanding of the construction process Ability to develop internal networks and build trust with on-site teams Ability to liaise with staff at all levels of the organisation Education/Experience: 5 years in construction across a broad range of environments Construction Safety Induction (white) card Occupational First Aid certificate Cert IV in OHS/WHS If you have the above demonstrated skill and experience we would love to hear from you.
