ABOUT THE ROLE As a detail orientated team member and first point of contact for members of the community this position is required to provide excellent customer service to all internal and external consumers. Maintaining an organised workstation and efficiently completing administrative tasks. As receptionist in this administration role, you are required to understand the dynamics of all facilities to communicate and reassign incoming calls and queries to the correct department, for all internal and external stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner. A stakeholder in the finance team you are encouraged to identify and discuss process efficiencies and promote financial stability and maintain adherence with policy and industry regulations. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Essential: Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills Ability to work independently Pleasant and courteous phone manner that is received clearly by diverse community members Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task at peak times. High level of competency using business computer programs including Microsoft Office suite of programs – Outlook, Word, Excel & Access, Teams. Demonstrated ability to learn and use other software. Financial literacy. Desirable: Qualification (Certificate or above) in administration or equivalent field. Previous experience working in receptionist, secretarial or administrative position or field. Previous experience in finance departments. KEY RESPONSBILITIES Provide a courteous and efficient customer service to all members of the public in person and while answering and making phone calls. Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as filing and data entry and distribution and recording of mail received and preparing mail to be sent. Transactional duties; receipting Eftpos transactions, issuing receipts and completing payment of transactions or invoices via computer systems, cash balancing. Work co-operatively in a team environment offering support to other team members. Receipting accounts receivable transactions presented over the counter. Assisting with accounts receivable duties as appropriate or required Assisting back fill of finance department administrative roles as required Supporting colleagues as required.
