WHAT’S ON OFFER In this senior role, the Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for managing the upfront process until project conversion and then staying involved in the project to ensure that the profitability, time of construction, quality and company safety expectation for each project are being delivered by the project teams. Not only will you be overseeing multiple new opportunities but the role will entail helping to grow the business and working in with the senior leadership team to take the business to their next level of growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Expand the business through the acquisition of projects via industry contacts and associations Strong knowledge to interpret and apply contract documentation Negotiate financial terms with client(s), subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure a positive outcome for the company Ability to supervise and direct project staff at all levels and competencies Be able to take direction from senior management or clients when necessary Invitation when looking at products or techniques to ensure that the right system or material are used for the right project Strong relationship building skills with all project stakeholders including clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, etc. Willingness to step into a sub role if required for the benefit of the company until other resources are allocated, become available or are organised Ensure reporting is completed to a high standard each month Understand why and ensure that the company systems and procedures are implemented the same way on each project Must check your own work prior to submitting to others Strong design management skills and think laterally / problem solve Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project TO BE CONSIDERED Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering At least 10 years in a construction project manager role for a reputable builder on complex residential and commercial projects Must have Estimating, Bid Management or Front-End construction experience on projects up to $100m Proven track record in the management of significant multi-projects within the residential and commercial sector Awareness of risk, contractual and financial performance Strong leadership in the area of performance management without compromising the group’s employee commitment and cultural values If you would like to find out more and are generally interested in furthering your career, than please contact davidbuildabilitygroup.com.au or call David Shapiro on 0416 214 189.
