Mills Recruitment is excited to partner with a leading global engineering consultancy to find a skilled Civil Designer or Senior Civil Designer for the RTIO – HD1S project in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team working on a large-scale iron ore project in Western Australia, valued at over $1 billion. Project Overview: Project: RTIO – HD1S (Iron Ore Production Maintenance) Location: Perth, WA – Wesley Contract Duration: 6-month initial contract Key Responsibilities: Develop civil designs for earthworks scopes, including roads, material handling transfer pads, non-process infrastructure pads, and drainage systems. Provide technical expertise, offering advice and recommendations during the design phase. Collaborate with engineers and drafters to ensure designs meet project specifications. Prepare detailed design drawings in line with client and industry standards. Requirements: Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or Associate Degree in Civil Design or a related field. 5 years of civil design experience. Extensive experience in mining and earthworks projects. Proficiency in MicroStation, with strong earthworks design experience. Prior experience in the design of roads, drainage, and pads for mining infrastructure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
