About the role Providing design expertise, you are responsible for the success and design output for creating innovative and engaging solutions for a wide range of our customers. Your ultimate motivation is to craft great end-to-end experiences. You’re able to work across multiple cross-functional teams in lean, agile, collaborative and customer-focused environments. You love being part of all stages of the design process, from project discovery through to delivery. Within the MYOB Financial Services & Benefits design team, you are a mentor to other designers, lean in to support them and play an active role in enhancing our culture and wider design community. You help shape the strategy and initiatives within the Originations and Payments domains by advocating for your customers. You believe in excellence and ensure both output and outcome maintain our high standards. What we look for in designers - Research and discovery techniques - Product design – designing and optimising user experiences, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility and business outcomes - Systematic approach to solving complex problems and deliver impactful solutions that move business metrics - Knowledge of Agile development principles. - Working experience with design systems to create consistent experiences out of shared components - Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams are important. - Must be organised, able to act independently and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and exciting environment. - Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills - 5-8 years’ experience as a Designer - Facilitation and communication - - Additional favourable skills/ areas of expertise : - o Strong visual design skills - o Experience in SAAS environments - o Financial services experience The skills you’ll need - 5-8 years’ experience in product design, we’re open to individuals from varying design backgrounds. - As an experienced product design generalist, you confidently lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery to delivery. - You possess the ability to not only understand but also influence our business strategy through design. - While experience in financial services is advantageous, it’s your design expertise that truly matters. - At your core, you’re driven by innovation and a relentless focus on the user with proven experience thriving in agile, cross-functional team environments. - You possess a systematic approach to solving complex problems and deliver impactful solutions that move business metrics.
