The Role Our Aircraft Maintenance Engineers perform a range of tasks that support the operational safety and reliability of our fleet, ensuring compliance with local and international aviation standards. Responsibilities • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, following approved procedures and under the direction of supervising LAME. • Deliver work to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with company procedures and CASA regulations. • Communicate defects and updates to the supervising LAME. • Ensure accurate documentation of all tasks and compliance with procedural standards. • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to WHS guidelines. • Adhere to all aviation rules and regulations, always maintaining the highest level of safety and professionalism. About You: We are looking for professional aircraft maintenance engineers with a commitment to delivering a high standard of work, as part of a high performing team. • AME License (A & P Mechanic in US), Current Driver’s License. • Experience troubleshooting aircraft systems, components, and assemblies. • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions effectively. • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others. • Initiative and the capability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. Minimum requirements: We are looking for Engineers who have the following: • CASA B1.3 Licence / NZCAA Licence or similar with the intent of achieving CASA license • Understands Civil Aviation and Federal Aviation law regulations • FAA A&P Licence • Industry experience • Must be eligible to hold an ASIC • Able to successfully complete DAMP testing • Aeronet experience is advantageous The role: • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet, ensuring contract availability • Carry out maintenance of aircraft to a high standard in accordance with OEM and company approved data. • Ensuring correct certification for aircraft maintenance is completed accurately and timely in accordance with procedures • Communicate with the Director of Maintenance of any deficiencies noted in the maintenance procedures manual with suggestions of remedial action • Reporting details of any observed or detected major defects or major damage on any aircraft undergoing maintenance under the company certificate of approval, inclusive of MEL procedures, communication & liaison with Company Operations. • Adhere to all aviation rules and regulations, always maintaining the highest level of safety and professionalism • Provide positive and supportive management of staff under your direct supervision About You: To be successful you will: • Be flexible and able to adapt to every situation • Possess relevant CASA and/ or FAA licensing requirements • Communicate proficiently and professionally • Demonstrate commitment to exceptional safety standards and quality workmanship If you are interested in this role, please feel free to contact our friendly HR Team at hrmcdermottaviation.com.au or (07) 5447 6600
