Federal government client is seeking experienced Test Engineers APS5 & APS6 Equivalent Test Engineer APS5 - Test Engineer/APS6 - Senior Test Engineer Our Federal Government client is seeking experienced Test Engineers APS5 & APS6 Equivalent About the role - APS5 Test Engineer Work under the general direction and support of senior staff. Exercise independent judgment and decision-making within defined parameters. Rely on skills and knowledge to perform tasks. Contribute to teamwork goals. Navigate competing priorities effectively. Adapt to changes in workplace practices. Requirements: A minimum of 12 months experience and proven understanding of ICT System Testing experience in Government or large organisation of processes, procedures and use of test management tools Ability to obtain Baseline clearance Demonstrated experience and skills in creation and execution of complex test cases on appropriate testing platforms, using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications, and detailed business requirements. Demonstrated experience in analysing, recording and documenting actions and test results, and reporting using preferred testing tools reporting unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes and conducting defect management where required. Demonstrated effective communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, utilising various forums such as Microsoft teams, email, training, presentations and technical documentation. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects during testing cycles, including monitoring and managing time and effort to ensure testing is running to project schedule and timelines Demonstrated experience in providing reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project including reports on system quality, environmental issues and the collection of metrics on test cases About the role - APS6 Senior Test Engineer Ensure ICT solutions meet quality, performance, architectural, and functional requirements, and are fit for business purposes. Ensure all test effort activities are completed effectively and in accordance with agreed test guidelines. Work under the limited direction of senior staff while exercising initiative and judgment. Interpret policies and apply practices and procedures with sound decision-making based on judgment, skills, and knowledge. Manage and organise their own work amidst competing priorities. Contribute to overall business goals and objectives.
