Be a part of a team that’s been named most satisfied customer for Roadside Assistance for the fourth year in a row by Canstar What You'll Do NRMA Tow Truck Operators play an important role in supporting our members across Australia by helping to keep them safe and moving. You will be on the frontline providing towing assistance while creating memorable member experiences. A day in the life of includes: Responding to road service calls, loading, transporting and unloading vehicles. Doing so in in a professional manner while adhering to all road rules. Helping to represent the NRMA brand by understanding the needs of the customer and demonstrating customer-first service solutions. Utilising your towing and transportation expertise to analyse the vehicle breakdown position and identify the most appropriate action to recover , secure and transport the vehicle according with safety standards and tow truck regulations. Ensure clear and appropriate communication with members , ensuring member safety and excellent customer service at all stages during the recovery process. Maintain tools, uniforms and equipment so that presentation is kept to a high standard and in a serviceable condition. Actively contribute to working groups, toolbox talks, trials and committees to enhance operations. Check out a video of the day in the life of an NRMA towie below What You'll Bring A full valid NSW Medium Rigid Driver’s License (or higher) A valid Tow Truck Driver’s Certificate or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencement. ( How to apply ) Flexibility to work on a rotating roster over a 7-day week (including public holidays) – for 12-hour shifts between 6:00am – 8:00pm. Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrated experience to work effectively across diverse communities. Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices with the ability to follow safe work procedures to ensure the highest level of safety is maintained. Excellent communication and active listening skills. A strong team player with a flexible and robust attitude, together with a positive mindset. An ability to adapt to change and work within new and changing parameters. A passion for transportation, cars or trucking and/or relevant experience in the industry is desirable. This position will be based out of our Prestons depot and you will be required to pick up and drop off your tow truck from this location daily.
