Our client seeks the services of Snr Pega System Administrator with experience and/or knowledge in the traveller, cargo, and trade systems domain. Our client in Canberra seeks the services of Senior Pega System Administrator with baseline clearance Requirements The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to: Investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems; Managing Pega installation and configurations; Managing Pega access control and deployed Pega applications; Applying Pega hotfixes to the platform; Liaising with external technical groups and providing technical advice where necessary; Evaluating new middleware software and updates, working with stakeholders and external clients to ensure successful installation and maintenance of middleware stem software; Advising Project/Program Managers on middleware technical/procedural issues; Supporting application transition to service activities as required. Supporting the development of SDLC deliverables including solution architecture documents, interface control documents, and detailed design documents. Working with the team and clients to document functional designs and working alongside the build team to capture design detail in the SDLC deliverables; Configuring the system and supporting the build where necessary; Designing and developing tools to manage the middleware platform and application support Providing operational design to bridge the gap between theoretical and operational/implementable solutions; Conducting daily health checks and keeping the pega development agile teams updated on planned activities; Providing out of hours support, including a requirement to be on call, on a rostered basis. Selection Criteria Essential criteria Proven experience in implementing solutions using a variety of software and technologies including but not limited to WebSphere Application Suit, Tomcat and Web servers. RedHat Linux, MQ, Postgres SQL and UNIX. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively translate between business and technical teams. Demonstrated experience in a BAU capacity for an enterprise solution, supporting multiple stakeholders from both business and technical teams. Desirable criteria Prior experience and/or knowledge of the department’s ICT governance and delivery frameworks or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge. Prior experience and/or knowledge in the traveller, cargo, and trade systems domain. Experience and knowledge of middleware products such as WebSphere Application Server Suite, Tomcat and Web Servers along with administration of the Pega platform. Knowledge of RedHat Linux, MQ, Postgres SQL and UNIX (bash, perl) scripting is desirable. Proven experience in driving user adoption and implementing pro-active initiatives that enhance the value, usage and overall end-user experience of enterprise capabilities within your responsibility.
