Support the expansive Operations Technology (OT) infrastructure Permanent opportunity with flexible working options Salary: $131,740 Super Benefits About the role: Due to an exciting stage of growth within the Operational Technology team, we are seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer – OT Projects to provide specialist Operations Technology (OT) engineering knowledge for application to projects as part of the OT Process Control team. You will provide specialist OT engineering advice as part of a multi-functional project team through the Corporation’s Asset Acquisition Process as it applies to delivery of regional OT assets. You will apply OT engineering expertise to the scoping, designing, constructing, commissioning, and transferal of regional OT assets, and contribute to the close out of regional engineering projects ensuring lessons learnt are incorporated into the delivery of future OT projects. Key skills and experience: Degree level qualification in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering. Hands on experience in products like Siemens & Schneider Electric PLCs & RTUs and Geo SCADA preferred. Plant Control protocols including DNP3, Profibus, Modbus Demonstrates considerable knowledge of engineering principles and practices relating to design, development, implementation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of SCADA, instrumentation, automation and control systems Expertise in Infrastructure project delivery in a regional context. Working knowledge of large water utility operations. Ability to understand and act on technical investigative reports and proposals authorised by senior level management. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with stakeholders of all levels. What the role will involve Lead technology and SCADA projects and provide technical advice and support on SCADA and control systems Contribute to the development and implementation of a process capability maturity model and an Automation, Control and data collection asset management competency assessment framework Configure and install various Operations Technology OT devices and services (e.g., various PLCs & RTUs). Develop control system programming and automation standards Assist with the monitoring, control, review and forecasting of projects outcomes including time, cost, and quality. Contribute to identifying regional project risks, develop mitigation measures and share in their ongoing monitoring. Proactively contribute expertise in OT design and delivery engagement with regional management and asset delivery representatives. Provide expert advice to regional stakeholders on OT engineering matters. Contribute to the preparation of OT engineering document artefacts including standards, procedures, manuals and work instructions. Manage and coordinate the work of consultants.
