An exciting newly created Sales Management opportunity within a people focused, market Leading Food Service based business About the Role : We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to join a market leading, growing company in a newly created role. You will support State Managers and their sales teams across six states (excluding NT), ensuring the efficient functioning of the team and helping improve processes. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll be a key link between senior management and state-level management. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide BDMs (Business Development Managers) to drive efficiency, identify better customer opportunities, and solve client issues alongside them. Your focus will be on increasing effectiveness, not micromanaging. Success will be measured by building strong relationships with state teams and driving revenue growth. Key Responsibilities : Support six State Managers and their teams Work closely with BDMs, ensuring they are maximising customer opportunities Regularly meet with customers and solve issues alongside BDM's Assist the teams to grow both new business and existing accounts Ensure CRM and internal systems are used effectively Travel interstate to work with state teams and improve team performance and cohesiveness Requirements : Proven experience managing sales teams, ideally in FMCG, food services, or similar industry Strong ability to lead BDMs and state-level sales teams Experience with CRM systems and driving sales process improvements A hands-on, energetic leader with a passion for results Able to build trust with teams and clients, with a focus on problem-solving Willing to travel interstate as required Ideal Candidate : You’ll have some sales team management experience, particularly managing field sales teams in industries like FMCG or food services or selling to smaller end users. You’re energetic, proactive, and enjoy being out in front of customers, helping BDMs close deals and retain clients. A background in quick-turnaround sales cycles with a focus on face-to-face interactions is essential.
