You’ve been doing admin work in a construction-related sector for a while and you are bored. Doing the same old thing day in, day out is demoralising you and it’s time for a new challenge. A role where each day is different and there is always a new problem that needs solving. Getting your grey matter ticking again and learning new skills in areas such as marketing excites you. You like taking on responsibility and as a new role in the company you can tread your own path and take on new challenges. For example, they’d like the new hire to maintain the social media for the company which is currently being completed by a project director. You can make suggestions and can look to improve processes and how systems are used. YOUR voice will be heard. Working for a smaller boutique company (20 staff) interests you. The 4 directors are hands on and you’d be interacting with them and senior members of the team daily. You won’t feel like an ‘add on’ administrator as the tasks you complete are key to their success. They would consider someone part time or full time or someone who is a returning to work parent after time away from the workforce. The salary is in the $80k -$90k super range with a review each year. This is no bog-standard admin role. You don’t need to be the finished article to apply for this role but you will need to tick the following 5 points. You’ve got 2-3 years of office admin skills in a construction or project consultancy setting. You know how to track projects, draft agendas and can assist in the management of project budgets including processing invoices. You are experienced using Microsoft Office Suite and its extra bonus points if you are proficient with MS Project You have an interest in doing marketing activities such as maintaining the company website or updating social media channels (Training provided) You can commit to office hours 3- 5 days a week in Sydney CBD. Working hours flexibility is available but there is no WFH each week. What qualification you have or don’t have isn’t important here.
