The Role: A brand-new role based at our Corporate Head Office in Acacia Ridge and reporting Reporting to the Group Legal Counsel. As our new Junior Legal Counsel / Assistant Company Secretary, you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on matters of law that affect or potentially affect the organisation. Your main responsibilities will include: Provide legal advice on matters affecting the company. Maintain records and documents of statutory requirements. Participation in quarterly and annual reporting Provide accurate and timely Counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics. Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues. Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company's' full legal rights. Review property leases and related documentation Review and provide feedback on service agreements and SLA’s. Provide clarification on legal language or specifications. Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation. Governance and compliance (ASX / ASIC and regulatory) About you: To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate: University qualified in a Bachelor of Laws (or similar) with approx. 3 years post qualification experience in a business environment Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures. Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation High degree of professional ethics and integrity Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information. Superior interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders quickly High level computer skills, experience with Microsoft suite The ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
